A Brief History of Greeneway Church
Greeneway Church was founded in 1996 by Dr. Mike Rakes. The church first met in a middle school in the Hunter’s Creek area and moved to its current location in 1998. In 2003, Dr. Wade Mumm was named Lead Pastor. In August of 2005, the Church became a “sovereign” church (501 C3) with the assumption of a membership roll and the adoption of a Church constitution.
Greeneway Church (GWC) has grown from a single location to a multi-service, multi-location, bi-lingual international church with 45 different local ministries. Additionally, the church support 200 missionaries/ministries and partners with twelve “sister” organizations. Check out the GWC Network here.
